Who can book a counselling session?

Any currently enrolled student, their parents, staff or assisting staff  can access the counselling service.

  • Monday & Tuesday
    10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Appointments can be booked by :

  • Contacting the Student Counselling Cell on email – mentalhealth@mldc.edu.in
  • Visiting the counselling office during working hours – Monday & Tuesday 10 am – 2 pm.

Yes. Your conversations remain confidential. Information is shared only with your consent, except in situations where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law.

You don’t have to wait for a crisis. If you’re not feeling like yourself or notice changes in your mood, thoughts, or behaviour, counselling can help.
You may benefit if you’re experiencing:

  • Stress or feeling overwhelmed
  • Anxiety or low mood
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Relationship or family concerns
  • Homesickness
  • Lack of motivation
  • Self-doubt or low confidence
  • Any emotional concern affecting your well-being

A counselling session typically lasts 30 minutes.

Counselling services are provided free of cost for enrolled students & staff (if applicable).If additional assessment, testing, or psychiatric care is needed, a referral to an external centre may be recommended. Charges, if any, will be determined by the respective centre.

Absolutely. If something has been bothering you, even if it feels small, you’re welcome to schedule a session. Seeking support early can be helpful.

The first session is an opportunity to discuss what’s been on your mind, understand your concerns, and work together to identify how counseling can best support you.
