• SCHEME OF EVALUATION
  • Internal Assessment (wherever applicable) for all Semesters shall be processed by the College while the University shall conduct the assessment of Semester End Examinations and Practical Examination (wherever applicable) for all the Semesters. The Internal Assessment marks of learners appearing for Semesters V & VI shall be submitted to the University by the College before the commencement of respective Semester End Examination.

     

    B.Com.

    The performance of the learners (except the course of Foundation Course) will be based on 100 marks Semester End Examination of 3 hours duration. (Foundation Course will be for 75 marks and 2½ hours duration).

    The allocation of marks for Internal Assessment of Foundation Course will be as shown below:

    The learners to pass a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course. Where the course consists of Internal Assessment, the learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks separately, i.e. 10 out of 25 in the Internal Assessment, 30 out of 75 in Semester End Examination.

     

    Faculty of Science

    The learners to pass a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course. The learners must obtain minimum of 40% marks separately, i.e. 10 out of 25 in the Internal Assessment, 30 out of 75 in Semester End Examination and 20 out of 50 in Practical Examination.

    The Performance Grading shall be based on the aggregate performance of Internal Assessment Semester End Examination and Practical Examination.

  • CARRY FORWARD OF MARKS
  • Carry forward of marks in case of a learner who fails in the Internal Assessment and/or Semester End Assessment and/or Practical Assessment in one or more courses (subjects):

    A learner who FAILS in one or more components (Internal Assessment / Semester End Examination / Practical Examination) of the course shall reappear for that component of that course. However his/her marks of the components in which he/she has passed shall be carried forward.

  • A.T.K.T. (ALLOWED TO KEEP TERMS)
  • Faculty of Commerce and Arts

    1. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III- if he / she passes each of Semester I & Semester II
    2.                                      OR

      A learner who fails in not more than four courses of Semester I and Semester II taken together with not more than two courses each in Semester I & II.

       

    3. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of number of heads of failure in Semester III.
    4.  

    5. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he / she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV
    6.                                      OR

      Shall have passed Semester I and II in full and secured ATKT in the Second year by failing in not more than Two Courses in each of Semester III and Semester IV.

                                           OR

       

      Shall have Secured ATKT in First Year by failing in not more than Two Courses in each of Semester I and Semester II and have passed Semester III and Semester IV in full.

       

    7. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester VI irrespective of number of heads of failure in the Semester V.

    9. The result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V.

    Faculty of Science

    1. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passes each of Semester I and Semester II.
    2.                                      OR

      He/she fails in not more than three courses with not more than total 200 marks, in each of Semester I and Semester II.

       

    3. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester I, Semester II and Semester III.
    4.  

    5. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV.
    6.                                      OR

      He/she has passed Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than three courses with not more than total 200 marks, in each of Semester III and Semester IV.

                                           OR

      He/she has passed Semester III and Semester IV and fails in not more than three courses with not more than total 200 marks, in each Semester I and Semester II.

       

    7. A learner shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester VI irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester V.

    9. The result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V.
  • MODE OF CONDUCT OF SEMESTER END ATKT EXAMINATION
    • There will be one ATKT Examination for Semester III and IV for those who have failed or remained absent.
    • The failed / absent learners will be allowed to appear for the examination after following the necessary formalities.
    • This examination will be held as per University of Mumbai’s Schedule.
  • PROJECT EVALUATION (A.T.K.T.) (FOR UNAIDED COURSES)
    • A learner who PASSES IN ALL THE COURSES BUT DOES NOT secure minimum Grade of D in project as applicable has to resubmit a fresh project till he / she secures a minimum of Grade D.
    • The credits and grade points secured by him / her in the other courses will be carried forward and he / she shall be entitled for grade obtained by them on passing of all the courses.
  • ADDITIONAL EXAMINATION
  • Eligibility norms to appear for the Additional Class Test / Assignment / Project / Semester End Examination / Practical Examination
    for learners who have remained absent:

    • If a learner is absent on medical ground or for any reason / emergency beyond the control of the learner, the learner must apply to the Head of the Institution giving the reason(s) for absence within 8 days of the conduct of the examination along with the necessary documents and testimonials.
    • If a learner is absent for participation in Inter Collegiate events, State or National or International level events, Training camp or coaching camp organized by authorized University or State or National or International Bodies, NSS / NCC Events / Camps / Cultural Activities / Sports Activities / Research or any other activities authenticated by the Head of the Institution, the Head of the Institution shall generally grant permission to the learner to appear for the additional class test or assignment.
    • The Head of the Institution, on scrutiny of the documents and testimonials, may grant the permission to the learner to appear for the additional examination.
    • Students are instructed to check the College Notice Board and with the College Office for the detailed schedule time table and procedure for the same.
